Vintage background junk journal pages use distressed paper styling inspired by historical aged papers. The retro appearance makes texture and wear the focus, offering a background-led design rather than a collection of separate cutout motifs or a modern patterned scrapbook surface.
Write your own recollections across a journal spread, layer photographs and captions into a heritage scrapbook, or use the paper beneath an altered-book collage. Keeping the background visible around the edges helps connect your added materials while allowing personal memories and chosen images to remain central.
