Abstract Christmas Paper – Distressed Paint and Festive Colour Layers

Abstract Christmas paper combines brushed colour, distressed textures and faint patterned marks in a softened festive palette. Red and green areas sit beside pale cream and misty blue-grey, with irregular edges and worn-looking layers rather than a repeating scene. Some backgrounds show small stencil-like motifs; others leave more room for the painted texture.

Use these backgrounds in a contemporary Christmas junk journal, behind holiday photographs in a scrapbook, or as a base for handmade cards. Their subtle patterns work beneath lettering, cut-out illustrations and seasonal ephemera, and smaller sections can become journal pockets, tags or layered paper borders.
