Ruby abstract journal pages layer textured circles, rings and squares with lace-like details. Red, pink, burgundy and gold-toned areas contrast with cream and darker sections, creating rich mixed-media compositions. The shapes and distressed surfaces are decorative abstract artwork rather than specific Christmas scenes or holiday motifs.

Add a plain writing panel for a personal reflection, or frame a photograph against a lighter part of the background. Repeat a circle or square in your own paper embellishments to connect the layers, keeping some of the lace-like texture visible. Narrow strips can add color to the edge of a scrapbook spread without competing with a central picture or longer caption. Browse the journal pages collection for more printable backgrounds.
