Distressed Red and Cream Polka Dot Journal Pages

Worn polka dot patterns give these red and cream journal pages a distressed character. Textured mixed media painting effects break up the repeated dots, adding variation across the patterned surfaces. The contrast between the red tones and cream areas creates a recognizable decorative background, while the weathered treatment keeps the pages from looking freshly polished.

Use a patterned page behind everyday journal writing to introduce color. Frame scrapbook photographs with sections of the dotted design, or tear contrasting areas into layers for a paper collage built around red and cream.
